Interesting...under windows 7, I had 6.5 for both graphics categories. This was using the latest 355m drivers from Nvidia. Using the same driver, windows developer preview now gives both a 6.3. Does this mean that the graphics card does not function as well under this new OS, or the way they are rating is different than windows 7 (i.e. more stringent)? I guess the only way to find out is to fire up L4D2...

I wouldn't pay the WEI score any attention. I have to admit though I am impressed with the preview of 8. I really like the Start menu and how you're able to search things much much more easily. A lot of bugs like any preview should have but the desktop side appears to be staying the same. I guess you bring up a good point since it is similar in many ways.

Everyone has to remember that this developer's preview is not even a BETA. It's almost an Alpha or Pre-Alpha stage so developers get a feel for it.

Many changes are bound to come.

Do you guys think that the gaming experience will be the same when compared to my windows 7 install, or worse? I am thinking it might be the same, since I am still using the same graphics driver and all.

It's too early to say. The issue is most (99%) haven't been using Windows 8 in their code so it may work but they may have issues with compatibility.

I agree with DeeVu, You really can't tell right now. From the looks of 8 and what I have been reading windows 8 should be very similar to 7 just geared more towards tablets. They are also trying to make a lighter OS.

Its just to early to tell, To many bugs to work out. And a lot can change between now and the full release. Only Microsoft knows at this point.
