I recently got a external disk drive for my M11x R1. I and trying to download games but some go through the install configuration then when it is starting the windows installer it says Error 1628: Failed to complete installation. Can anyone help me? I have tried many ways of working around it such as: deleting temp files, safe mode, new user account, ending Idriver.exe process but nothing seems to work...

Windows installer error 1628 is a Windows installer error that can be due to several reasons. One, it can be because the uninstallation log file is corrupted. In this case, you need to open your Windows Task Manager and terminate the IDriver.exe process. Another possible reason why it occurs is because there is a conflict between some files in the Windows Temp folder as well as the files used by the installer. So, you need to delete the contents of your Windows Temp folder. Lastly, the error may be due to an improperly configured Windows Installer or your Windows Installer version is not updated. Thus, you need to ask Microsoft for support.
