Anyone else here play WoW on the M11x R2?

If so, anyone recently had any issues with the water graphics in the game? I have the 260.63 drivers installed.

There was a thread on this just recently. I don't play it so can't remember what it said, but a search will probably get you your answer.

Yeah water will not display properly if you have the settings for it set at good or ultra, right now i have mine set lower and that'll fix it.

I have 257.30, and the same problem. Loads of people in both the ATI/NV camps are having issues with the new water engine. It's encouraging to discover that we (m11x ownders) are all experiencing the exact same problem irrespective of driver version. So a solution for one will be the solution for all.

Yea, I can set it to fair and see the water, but of course that's not the solution I wanted. I've read that the R1 users are not having this problem, but the R2 users are. Thoughts?

Anyone using the latest Beta driver, 260.89, occasionally have WoW crash on you, but you can still hear the sounds going? It's like the game is still running but the screen freezes. I have to Alt-F4 to close WoW and re-run.

I had the exact same problem with an earlier 260.xx driver. You can alt+tab out of the game and back in to unfreeze it or run the game in a window. The latest optimus driver that plays nice with wow is 259.22 which is what i downgraded to.

Also this is not a 4.0.1 problem I had it when i installed 260.xx under 3.3.5.

Tested new 260.89 WHQL drivers. Problem still persists.

It's becoming apparent that the problem is not a driver or hardware issue, but a problem with the way blizzard implemented it's new hardware detection code.
