    Nautis.

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.

The link you posted to the PhysX patch in Ninja's thread about returning his R2 has fixed many of my game crashes! The only one still plaguing me that's bothersome is Just Cause 2!

Already in less than 24 hours, between this update and the fact that Dell/Alienware stepped up on their customer support has helped me do a 180 from this afternoon of being disappointed and considering a return to full on falling in lurv.

Just to recap: I found dust specks behind the glass of the LCD in less than 48 hours of arrival. Within 24 of that 48, Alienware got a service man to come and replace the LCD panel in house (so awesome.)

And besides my first panel having dust, I was way disappointed in the PQ. I knew it wasn't the best, but mine was really bad. So, I asked the tech if the replacement was tested first, or if I was still possibly playing the dead pixel lottery? And he replied that the replacement had been tested. While I was happy enough to have a dead pixel-free display, what I had not counted on, was that this replacement had also clearly been calibrated when the original had not. And oh man, what a difference in PQ. Not the best of my notebooks, but good enough to feel that the quality is reflective of the price.

So with those two things, I'm feeling the love for this machine that I wanted to. If they can get Just Cause 2 working for me, the machine would be perfect. I can't comment on WOW performance as I'm addicted enough to gaming so I purposely stay away from that crack - but man, this PhysX patch does a whole lot of fixing on my unit.

Thank you again Nautis. You seriously turned this experience around for me by finding that file. I check that site frequently too, and had missed it, still sitting here in frustration.

Total apologies that I'm too web stoopid to provide a link to the thread or the file, but I trust somebody will follow up with such soon.

Everyone, patch your machine's with this now...

and thank Nautis. It's because of him, I'm now a very happy M11x-R2 owner ;)

A 1000 years of good karma for you sir.

    Cheers.

I hope everyone tries this new patch and posted there results, the more responses the better. It would help those still on the fence deciding which way to go.
