If connected to the internet, the M11x will automatically find drivers (unless if you tell it not to).

Vista and 7 will, I dunno about XP.

Have downloaded the drivers, (I have windows 7), and I have to unplug and re-plug it in to get it to work again

    I have tried this

Click 'Start' > Right-click 'Computer' > Select 'Manage'
    Click 'Device Manager'
On the right, expand 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers'
Right-click and remove each one and reboot your computer.

and it works after restart, but then I restart my computer again and the same problem occurs

Well, I do not know if this applies to you or not, but I found that I can only run either my Razer Megalodon headset, or my 360 controller, on my M11x, but not both. I have no idea what is causing this issue, and it does not happen with my M17x. If I plug them both in, one or the other does not work. If you have more USB devices plugged in at the same time, this may be your issue. When plugged in alone, or with my orochi mouse, the 360 controller works fine for me.
