I have a question. I was reading forums about fixing latency and hit detection with bad company 2 and basically adding a couple lines to the settings.ini and gamesettings.ini files that adjusted things relative to your ping. However, while adjusting the settings.ini file went well, the gamesettings.ini file was a different story. Even when i set the file to read only, when opening the game, the files would automatically reset to the default and delete the lines. Does anyone have a workaround?

Try Steven's advice on the Regedit fix that stops the network from throttling. http://forum.notebookreview.com/alienware-m11x/513360-new-m11xr1-optimization-must-have.html

Another setting you could try that I use is Nvidia Control in Manage 3D settings under Global Settings change the Maximum number of pre-rendered frames (default is '3') to '0'. This helps stop the GPU from rendering additional frames.
