I got the fast track and my initial battery estimates are 5 hours of constant browsing on power save move at 80% brightness. My CPU and GPU are overclocked.

The I7 and I5 will be within 15 mins of each other as they are the same core and I bet run at near the same voltage on stock and O/Ced. ;)

Just curious, what does your nameplate say on the bottom of your FastTrak M11x?

Thanks for the update! Is that 6 hours estimated or 6 hours until it shut down?

Either way that's great news. After that video with the Alienware rep who said the R2 would be around 5.5 hours, I was worried given that they usually overestimate battery life.

I know this is a thread for the i5, but here's some i7 battery usage for comparison as that's what I've been focusing on today.

Two complete cycles - fully charged to automated shutdown at 5%. BatteryBar is estimating 5:45. Screen brightness at 50% and otherwise default Balanced power profile. Wifi on, bluetooth radio off.

Outlook open all day, heavy Firefox use including flash video streaming, roughly 2 hours of 720p mkv playback to my TV this evening.

Good to hear Slickie, can't wait to get my i7. Not to get too off topic but how do you like your Momentus XT?

I've JUST put it in. I'm rebooting for the last time before it ought to be speeding up my boot time. :D
