just called my store, asked them about the status of my laptop - at first they said they hadn't heard back from dell, and that they'd call them and then call me. a few minutes later, though, i got a call back from the store saying dell told them my laptop couldn't be repaired :(

a couple of weeks ago, and a day after it came back from a broken hinge repair the laptop suddenly turned off while i was playing a game. prior to that, i'd sent the power adapter back, because it was getting excessively hot and making an odd smell.

so i guess i can get my money back (i've just checked, there are no more m11x's that they can order in for me)

it was short and sweet, my time with my alienware - i guess i now have no choice but to order an i5/i7 machine now

LOL. At least there is a silver lining.

I am looking forward to years of service on mine.
