    hi guys . i have been searching for this info so please dont have a pop.

    should we be install nividia drivers for the gt 540 m that are not from alienware .

    and if thats fine which one should i try out and how do you uninstall the 3d part.

    currently my mx11 tells me my driver is uptodate and i am running the 267 one.

    i wouldnt bother but i need to try and get witcher 2 playable.

    i know how o/c the cpu- on the i7 on the mx11 i dont think it gives much more performance anyway. but whats the best way to o/c the gpu

    would 8 gigs of ram help much?

    sorry i am abit of a novice lol

    i have a 6gig 540m 2 gig, i7 r3 with a sata 3 ssd on its way

    No 8 gig of ram will make no difference. And you cannot overclock the CPU on the R3s. To overclock the GPU, try msi afterburner or EVGA precision. To uninstall the 3D part of the driver, open up control panel, go into uninstall programs and uninstall the 3D nvidia drivers.

    i think you can o./c the cpu on the r3 its in the bios you can go upto 103.1 bclk- well i have tried it any way it didnt seem to do much and it stayed on 1.5 in the status.
