With Arstechnica's recent review of the 11" MBA showing that with flash installed, it can lose up to 2 hours of battery life (see reports and discussions at wired, pcworld, techcrunch, tomshardware), I am curious how the m11x would fair. Is this an adobe/apple thing only? Or is flash content really that power hungry?
Anyone want to test this on their machines?

I am still unable to see the benefits of flash
It basically does two things.
1) downloads adverts to your computer. This takes CPU and bandwidth.
2) is an extra piece of software to run, which in turn is not needed, unless you want to watch adverts. which would consume CPU, which would consume power.
How much it consumes is another thing entirely.

I still stand by being unable to see the benefit of Adobe Flash
Now, Flash Gordon on the other hand, he IS the saviour of the universe (apparently!)

OK, I should clarify, no direct benefit for the end user, like myself.
HOWEVER, we do indirectly benefit from flash by letting the adverts take over our viewing screens, some websites get funded and without that funding they would not exist.

I have a slight hunch that the M11x is a tad over-qualified to handle any and all Flash applications...

watching youtube nets about 4 hours from my m11xr2, and about 4.5-5 hours from my m11xr1.

m11x has no problems running flash on the integrated graphics card, it might reduce your battery if your sound is loud I suppose...

You gotta keep in mind, as of Flash 10.1, it's all hardware accelerated now, so it will take power from the video card.
I know it's not a full blown deal, but keep in mind with the m11x, you can use the Intel card, saving a lot of battery with flash. (Sacrificing quality).
But if battery is something you're concerned about, that's obviously gonna help. The Macbook Air doesn't have an intel card.
Anyways on my m11x r2 i7, browsing multiple tabs that can contain flash, AIM, Skype, and Yahoo Messenger, I can get 4 to 5 hours no problem, and I'm not trying to save battery either... I'm using nVidia for YouTube and Skype Video calls with the Windows Power settings to Balanced.
flash + macbook air = battery meltdown; what about m11x?
