    Hey everyone,

first off, let me tell you my gpu drivers. I'm using an m11xr2 using the latest dell drivers off their website (7/19/2010, 257.30 A01).

I'm having some troubles on when my 335m turns on, and fiddling with settings in the whitelist has not helped, as I have tried. More on that later:

    1. )Whether I'm watching 360p or 1080p videos on youtube - it turns the 335m on! :(

2.) When I stream videos from my downstairs desktop media server (via windows media player), the 335m turns on :( The funny thing is, if I watch a video on WMP that is stored locally on my m11x, the 335m stays off :) .

Does anyone have any idea what I can do to fix this? I think maybe adding Chrome to the blacklist for the 335m will help.... but what about my ODD circumstantial toggling of the 335m while watching wmp?

Hope it made sense. #2 is the bigger problem btw. :)

    What browser you using?
I believe it is because of Flash 10.1, which automatically turns on the GPU.
I know firefox will use nothing but the integrated.

As for #2, try right clicking on it and force it into using the integrated graphics card. Though I have never used a desktop media server, so I am not sure.

Need be, you could always go ahead and install the 258.96/259.22 drivers with the modified file.

    1) Adding Chrome to the list and setting it to IGP only prevents the 335m from turning on due to flash with the 258.96 drivers. I couldn't get it to work either with the Dell drivers (though I didn't stick with them very long), so I agree with Noah about updating them.

I'm having the same problem. Streaming video using Windows Media Player from another computer on my network uses the GPU even though if you right click on the exe file for WMP it says the default should be the NVidia chip.
The videos look awful. I can stream them using my Asus EEE PC and the videos are sharp and clear.
Specifically whitelisting WMP does nothing. How can I fix this?
Also videos which are local on the M11xr2 do not switch to the NVidia chip when played by Windows Media Player.
