Hey everyone,
Is 73C for my gpu okay after a few hours of gaming? I noticed because after a while the loud fan, went even MORE super-turbo, so i checked the temps and saw it peak around 72C or 73C.
Is this okay? It's running on dell drivers at stock settings too btw![]()

73C is well within spec for these processors. You're fine.

I'm running with A03 bios and my gaming temps move between 60 & 67 deg C as the fan kicks in/out.
-
Any special instructions? -
73 is nothing to worry about. My GPU Temp went up to 80 degrees Celsius until I decided to clean out the fan and vents.
-
All joking aside, yes it is literally a download and install. Just make sure not to unplug/plug in anything while it is installing. (Including the powercord) -
R2 A03 Bios
I would:
Put M11x on power (don't do on battery alone)
Do a clean reboot
Run the exe
Follow the instructions -

hhmm... i play BFBC2, Madia II, MW2 and from my last checks, the highester I sawa my GPU temp was low 60C's, at most 65C.
Ive never seen anything near 70C or 80C.
I do eleviate my M11x about an inch in the back, maybe that really helps? -
The R1 runs cooler than the R2. The people posting 70C+ have the later.
-
The R1 does run cooler, as the newer i-5 and i7 core processors get hotter, even though they have a bigger heat sink.
