Lokking at the m11x r2 how good is it for wow can it handle 60fps at high details even in raids and cities. I think wow is cpu intensive so that is why I ask. Is it hard to play on a 11 inch, never seen a m11x up close

Easy answer, no u cant play it on ultra and get 60 fps. I play on medium setttings or some higher, and get 40-60 fps in raids. I don´t mind playing on a 11 inch, but you will have to get used to it.

there are a bunch of things on this website to help optimise the m11x. yeah I doubt you can get 60 on the very high settings, but do you really need 60 fps for that anyway?

    Easy answer.

NO, you won't get 60 fps on ultra settings on any generation of the m11x currently.

On med-high settings, you'll get 40-60 fps depending on what's going on.

exactly but I'm pretty sure you can get a reasonable fps on max settings. that is just what I've researched, cause I get mine in today. I use to play wow on my comp without a graphics card so my idea of reasonable could be different lol.

I found it really easy to play on the 11" screen no problem there.. I turn everything on high and Ultra but turn shadows down and I avg. 50-60 FPS after doing this simple mod below .. raids are lower around 40-45 FPS without over clock.. still really smooth and easy to play on the m11x

This mod was recently posted by steven and it made a world of a difrence I gained a extra 10 FPS easy..

Even on the latest desktop quadcore/Xfire/SLI setup, you will not see 60fps on ultra in storm/orgri on a busy evening. Having said that, I get 20-30 with my R2 (it does occasionally dip below 20).

And just an FYI, you most certainly can get 60+ fps consistently on all ultra settings (with the exception of shadows). I'm walking around Dalaran right now and getting 80-90fps.

Our guild did BWD yesterday, and I was consistently getting 30-55fps, all on ultra (except shadows). It's smooth as butter to be honest. Even when you crazily swing the camera around. When standing still, it's 90+.

So I don't know what everyone else here is talking about tbh.

Yep, shadows are the death of this laptop. Turn them off and you will see pretty good FPS. As for the 11in screen. It's something to get used to, but I don't mind it at all

When I played wow I averaged 40-60fps (sometimes dipped below 40 in cities) in wow near maxed on my r1. I turned some things to mid-high but overall Id say high-ultra was the average. Will you get a constant 60fps on ultra? Probably not as there are too many factors. WoW isnt a cpu intensive game, more like gpu + client/server intensive. Either way if you do a clean install the m11x r1 or r2 will play the game well for any type of wow gameplay you want to do.

I have played using my R1, on both 11" native screen and on a 24" monitor (doing 10 and 25 man raids) at 1920*1650.

Both times i have done raiding its been ok. Naturally the 11" resolution offer much better FPS.

Due to been a healer and while i dont run a hugh amount of add on's the 11" resolution is fine for 5 mans, i found the extra info i needed to raid with add on's meant it became a bit cluttered and turning down the UI size wasn't an option unless i wanted to strain my eyes.

On the 24" screen at the resolution i stated above, it seems to run fine again on 5 mans (even the new ZA, ZG instances), but during a 10 man raids naturally it dips to 20-25 FPS and around 15-20 FPS in 25 mans due to all the spell effects. My settings are set between medium and high bare in mind so i dont think its too bad.

    Any other q's please ask.
