The 540M GT is a low to mid range GPU and the CPU is an ultra low voltage you cannot expect to max out the latest intensive games on something so small this is not a desktop replacement. I can run COD at max settings at 1366x768 quite smooth 30fps.

If it is the R1 or R2 you will have the 335M GT which is even weaker. You can overclock the CPU and GPU.

The R3 you can only overclock the GPU.

Overclocking will not make a huge difference however.

The GT 335M doesn't overclock well at all, as reported by several in this forum and experienced by myself as well.

I agree with Yiddo, you will not be able to max-out all latest games with the m11x however you can play most of the new titles on Medium Settings. Here are some tips for you to take the maximum advantage you can from that computer.

I OC everything slightly. I used Intel XTU 2.1 to adjust CPU and Ram settings, and Nvidia tools 6.06 to adjust the GPU. I have a Sata 3 SSD. I also spent a lot of time manually adjusting the 3D settings. To have games look great not everything needs to be maxed out.

Crysis 2 on ultra (fake ultra) @ 1366x768 looks amazing. It runs at full speed. I added high resolution and tesselation. It runs slightly slower then full speed but its negligible. Its looks beautiful and I cannot believe this little thing can pull it off.

I forgot to mention that I run my m11x r3 into AW2310 with out put and monitor input manipulated. My temps during having gaming run 70C to 75C. I think a new thermal paste will help with that.

I wouldn't worry about that too much - the innards will be putting out a fair amount of heat during gaming, and 75C isn't *that* hot! Remember that the small case and limited cooling capability doesn't help either, as the larger gaming machines all have a fan for the CPU and another one for the GPU.

That having been said, using a top-of-the-line paste will drop temps a couple of C, and remember to game on a hard surface with nothing blocking the vent underneath or behind the machine.

make sure your dedicated gpu is the one processing the games...go to your nvidia control panel and make sure its set to "high performance nvidia processor"
