does the 11x have any indicator lights for "charging" or "standby" while the computer lid is closed

i would like to charge the computer while it is off and the lid closed but there seems to be no indicator lights to tell me if this is charging or to know if the computer is fully charged already

or am i just missing this

Sort of--the alien head below the screen can be set up to show whether it's using battery, charging, on standby, whatever, but you can't see it with the screen closed :/

    Nope.
Ya have to keep the lid open to see what it's doing.
Now if only Alienware could let you set the front girdle lights to also be indicator lights...

i agree. if only there is a way to make these two front lights double up as indicator lights to know if the computer is either charging, fully charged or on standby.

most other laptops have this. i wonder why alienware "overlooked" this basic feature

hope there is an alienfx fix for this. but overall, it is still an awesome machine :D

Because the laptop looks so darned cool, that they figure nobody would ever want to close it?
