    hello,

I used the laptop lifts on my gateway P-7811FX and the extra clearance below the notebook made a difference on the cooling of my gateway.

I would be getting my m11X on May 17th and wondering if I should order the laptop lifts for this notebook as well.

this is the product that i am talking about. Laptop Lifts - protect your computer from heat, spills, scratches and other mishaps!

Will the M11x need this lift? please advise

    thanks

With the M11x there is no additional cooling thats needed. The M11x as with all Alienware notebooks, has an exceptional cooling system. I've never seen mine get over 75*C GPU or CPU. Not sure I've ever even seen 70*C. And thats doing some hard GPU overclocking and benchmarking.

Short answer is no, it's not needed.
