Thanks to advice etc here , i was going to go for a m17x , but it really is a DTR and i have a great desktop at home , and i travel lot and the m17x will be to heavy to haul everywhere , so m11x it is for some dirt 3 action and bfbc2 etc etc .
i went for the i7
2gb nvidia card
standard hd 320gb will get a hybrid or ssd later
and the better wifi option
also 4 gb ram as anything else i fell is a waste for games.
Going by reviews the screen is actually quite good , can anyone say if its an upgrade from the original r1 r2 screen ?

No, the screen is the same as the previous m11x's.

Edit: Also, despite what other people say, the screen on the m11x is actually quite good. Sure its reflective, but if thats an issue then buy a anti glare cover for it.

also once i get a hybrid or ssd drive , is there anyway i can copy the whole esiting hd over to the new one inc windows 7 and then just use the ssd or hybrid and scrap the original hd?
and is the battrey life on r3 as good as r1 as r2 was alot worse than r1 ?
