    m11X "Alienware" Text Flashing with HDD Activity

    Ive had the laptop for about 3 weeks and the last 1 and a bit ive noticed that the alienware text on the bezel is flashing at the sametime as the HDD alien head, is this normal and ive just noticed it?? also thought the alien eyes flashed as hdd activity?( and no flash is not activated in command centre) the only thing that indicates HDD activity is the light around the alien head ( not the eyes) and the text on the bezel of the lcd, most vids the text stays a solid light!!

    I hate the AlienFX editor, so I stay the heck away from it, but perhaps there is an option there which makes it mirror the HDD access indicator? Mine stays solid with the default settings.

    Sounds like there is a problem that needs to be repaired under warranty.

    My m11x just crashed when I tried running Games for Windows Marketplace and now I have the same problem - the backlights flash at random, every second or two. Did you ever find out what was wrong?
