Hello there.
first time post as ive gotten sick and tired of my problem.
ive been reading notebook review for months now a fantastic source of information more often than not solving my issues. how ever this case not so.
Basically my problem consists of freezing and locking up. the strange thing is that if for example i watching Iplayer the sound will still be running fine but the entire screen is frozen this happens in full screen and when iam even just listening and generally browsing. lock ups are generally no longer than 1 minute long if that and can occur at any moment. after a lock up i generally recieve a *shockwave player is unresposive* in my google chrome then everything will resume as normal. i get freezing in games everything can be sweet as a nut then it locks up i cant Ctrl+alt+del it just stops. but all of a sudden decideds to catch up with it self performing all the tasks i clicked when it was frozen. i.e if i click the taskmenu button while frozen nothing will happen and when it un freezes it opens along with anything else ive clicked. ive performmed disk checks and memory tests to no avail. could this be a gfx card error. though it does also happen on the intel gfx. ive also had problems that sometimes if i even pick the machine up it will shut down i have no idea why and am contemplating returning it. ive had it for a good few months but ive put up with it as i didnt use the laptop much. now my main pc has died its become more used and the problem is far more aggravating.
Any ideas or insight to the problem will be greatful. ive installed windows multiple times trying to fix the m11x r1 but nothing.
Thankyou for reading

I'd definitely make a call to customer service if its under warranty. I have had no such problems.

Go to "Safe mode" in windows 7. If the problem still appears, then you need to call customer service as it is a hardware problem. If the problem goes away, then it is a software driver or bios or something you need to remove or update.

Sounds like an software problem if programs crash after these freezes. The only thing i could think off is your harddrive is bad, which will cause system freezes for several seconds at a time randomly, but you said that you checked it. you could try a complete system restore if you dont mind doing that.

A clean install of windows should fix the problem...
If it persists you should call dell and ask for a mainboard replacement or for a new machine... -
up date. iam now having problems with my battery charging, it says plugged in (not charging) ive read this is a hardware problem im going to ring dell and nicely demand a replacement.
will let you know how it goes i guess.

yup sounds like something more than your harddrive or system files are causing these problems.
