Had the machine for less then a day and still installing stuff on it.

Battery life according to Battery Bar should be around 7 hours with light use on balanced. I was pretty much just copying files. Kick in the NVIDIA GPU and that drops to about half that, at least that is what I saw while updating WoW from the pre-installed version.

Not sure whether is was moving from an i5 to the i7 or something inherent to the R3 (faster CPU or maybe even faster integrated GPU) but the issue I was having with HD content in iTunes seems to be gone. Haven't watched a full episode but I didn't see the slow downs or tearing I was getting on the R2.

The finish definitely seems a bit different, a little grayer and not feels a little different. Hopefully this means they fixed the peeling issue some have seen with the soft touch finish, though I haven't had that issue with my R2.

    Update:
Just ran 3DMark06 and got 8322.
    3DMark06 on integrated 3680.

    Update 2:
    3Dmark11: P982

That was a pretty good review. Wish they would have thrown DA2 in their review as I intend to play that.

Speaking of random things related to the M11xR3, what about Intel® Anti-Theft Technology.
How useful is that, is it even accessible to the purchaser of the M11xR3 outside of corporates.
Does it really have a built in SIM. Can one really poison ones Notebook if stolen, or even more interesting can one locate it again.

    Just some random thoughts

Update - Looks like it's just business focused at this time.
