any one have any idea how to enable multi touch scrolling like 2 finger scrolling that my xps 15 has?

Im not infront of my machine at the minute but the settings for this can be found in the alien command centre.
-
I used this on my m11x r2 and it worked perfectly. I'm assuming that the touchpad is the same if not identical between the models.
This comes from a m11x r1 thread -
I mean the trackpad has the ability to vertically and horizontally scroll, you can adjust the area of active scrolling through command centre, so no need to install 2 finger scrolling... -
I know thats what you mean, but the original question was for 2 finger scrolling, which in my opinion is way better than the command center options.
-
you are absolutely right, i did check out your link and might just install 2 finger scrolling on my machine, i'm not infront of my machine atm so i'll try it later tonight.
can the 2 finger scrolling work horizontally aswell? -
pretty sure it doesn't, however it does allow tapping as well e.g. a three finger tab can be programmed as mouse scroll wheel click. I use this all the time
-
you can just uninstall the synaptics driver and download the latest scrybe from the synaptics website. after that, just enable it from the mouse menu. worked for me. and yes, two finger scroll works horizontally as well
-
i will give this a try tonight, how does this affect the option menu in command center? it's not linked to the mouse options in control panel isit?
-
I did this last week to my R3, works fine. zoom in and out works as well
-
i havent had any problems with anything in the command center. AFAIK, command center is just a skinned version of the windows controls. the deeper options like multitouch are in the control panel for synaptics itself. thats what it seems like to me at least.

trying the synaptics driver now.....

works great! thanks for the help
