    m11x R3 audio stuttering popping crackling problems

    Hey guys I read the other forum about this problem and didn't find what I can do to solve this horrible problem....

    My sound crack when I 'm listening musics or playing games, when this occurr the entire system goes slow but just for a few seconds and come back again!

    Please I need help to remove this problem!

    My system is one R3 with i5 processor I did the memory upgrade to 8Gb and put a new wireless card (6205 intel) and upgrade my disk with one Intel SSD 510 series 256gb!

    is it a clean install of windows? most of the time at least for me sound issues were caused by software, i am not sure where it would go wrong, but a windows resintall would help.

    Also did you try other audio playback devices, it might be cables.

    I had the same problem for a while. It was the Nvidia driver that messed up everything. Get MSI Afterburner and monitor the GPU activity while idle, if you have spikes in the graph, then you have the same problem like me. Try the newest nvidia drivers :)

    Here's an idea of what to expect. Furthermore my clock frequency was at 450 Hz and my idle temp was around 60 C

    I've had two M11x's an R1 and my current R3, Ive never had that issue with my R1 but my R3 does it all the time. Crackly during any loud music, the system lag you described happens sometimes but In my situation they don't seem like related issues. Clean install didn't do anything for me, I really just ignore the problem.

    Hope this is issue is resolved, but it seems to be more hardware.

    Same here, also happens on my M15x.
    People have said it could be McAffee...

    i have the same issues few day back on my r3 and i had contact dell about it. so basically them told me was a speaker problem. and also the motherboard. their sent someone to replace my speaker and motherboard so far it didt appear yet for few weak.

    I also had crackling audio when l first had my R3, however after updating drivers l have not had any issue with crackling sound since (fingers crossed).
