Lies, my R2 gets 6 from just switching to Power Saving Mode while surfing the internet, watching the occasional youtube video.

around. to me that means an estimate.

theres obvious many factors that can affect battery life..ssd, disabling things etc..

Really? I'm lucky to get 4... do you have an ssd or hd? 5400 or 7200rpm? OC'd or stock? In my case everything is conspiring against good battery life - OC to 166mhz, 7200rpm drive, need screen brightness at 2 or 3 minimum or can't see anything. Maybe that's it.

i5, 7200 rpm hd, OC'ed to 158. In performance mode I get around 4 doing the same stuff. I have never used it for 6 hours straight but according to the battery bar at two different times the amount of charge depleted corresponded with the time depleted from the amount left so I have good reason to believe it is accurate. Brightness according to FN+F4 is 2 out of the 8 levels(perfectly lighted for me)

General Consensus of the board from what I saw is to not let it die completely down because it is a lithium battery. While plugged in it should not continue charging the battery fully when it reaches it capacity. (from what I have read)

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/ali...fail-so-soon-whats-really-happening-here.html

My battery has already gone bad, but I don't think it's coincidence that my power adapter died only a few days after I noticed it, so it or the power in my apartment are probably to blame (many devices do not seem to make a connection in these "new" power outlets though my notebooks and other three-pronged devices always seemed fine).
