Heh, well. Funny story. I upgraded my R1 to be a R2. Which ultimately meant changing everything but the LCD over =p. I now have the new 2nd gen i7 r3 board. The board itself fits in the chassis without issue, however, the following are my issues:
Not sure of the bluetooth module as the mounting point on the board is not the same as the R1 or R2 board.
The Main Issue The light/power switch board plugs into the motherboard, the 8-ish pin black cable needed to be re-maneuvered as the mounting point on the board has been slightly moved. Now this being said, it will plug in, however I cannot get it to power on at all. So I'm trying to locate the PN for the power board, and wire itself to compare as this would be the most logical thing to check.

Only issue is this...I upgraded to the new board. I have yet to get answers from dell unless I have the service tag info from inside the bios. Not being able to power the unit on as of yet, I am unable to get that info for them :/ Heh, is there a way to talk to a dell parts person where the have some common sense and would understand the situation?

Well, with just those 2 parts you have nearly 450$ in costs. You can save that money, sell your r1 for 600$ and buy a new r3 with a warranty.

Well , selling it wont be the problem, buying is. Dell doesnt sell the m11x on my country anymore, AND , trying to buy it outside and shipping it gives me like.. 25% more on the final price.. Damit customs. So i dont care getting those $450 in parts i know will be less expensive to ship than a whole new laptop, if they will serve on the swap process. I just need a "yes you can" , or "you cant because"... I know theres the buy and sell option.. but unfortunatedly is not an availeable option for me.

Also you will need a top and bottom to that case from a r2/r3. A top from a r3 is more preferred as the r2 doesn't fit 100% snug. When I say top, I'm referring to the piece that the keyboard rests in. Also the keyboard from a r1 will not work in the r2, or r3. Heh, a lot of replacing of parts for the r2 r3 luxury.
