I notice when i have it plug in, the fps on any games i play is around 80-100 then when i unplug it eventhough it stays at high performance and same oc'd cpu clock speed and nvidia card on battey power it goes from 80-100fps to about 30-40. I thought it is not suppose throttle, even alienware themselves said u can game on it on battery for a good 2 hours.

    dood it's not throttle
it is because ur power setting mode
easy way set them to performance setting
for advance mode u need to tweak inside the power advance setting
look for graphic performance and change on battery from power save to max power..

Your laptop (and most others that I have used) will automatically go into a power saving mode, in order to preserve batter charge, as soon as you pull the plug out.
