hi, so all of a sudden my laptop is not recognizing my gfx card. its using the on board intel one, which makes my games extremely choppy and really unplayable. i have the latest nvidia driver installed to my knowledge as i let nvidia recognize which one i need. I am pretty positive i have the r1 model but not sure. i will list the service tag below so if i am wrong and somebody can tell me. any help would be greatly appreciated. i also have the latest intel driver downloaded and installed last night from the site when i noticed the problem.

I would suggest using the drivers for the GT 355M from the dell website.

Also, l take it you have selected the dedicated graphics using the FN + F6 key combination?

It may also be worth rolling back the system to when it did work.

    System restore.

Also try going into device manager (You can just search for it at the start menu) and looking under display adapters to see if your GT 335m is listed up and running, etc. Also right-clicking on the desktop to NVIDIA control panel, then to Help and system information to see if it's listed there as well. Otherwise, I'd also use the FN + F6 to make sure you're actually using the GT 335m, in case you usually just leave it on and don't worry about the setting.

As you have already found out you lose functionality with upgraded drivers. Unfortunately you are restricted to using Dell drivers.

Does it even appear in the BIOS screen?
