I would like to know how sturdy the keyboard will be, I also want to know if the letters on the keyboard wont fade away.

I play a game called GunZ online. It requires me to press the WASD + shift+ 1 buttons at the same time. I spam on those buttons, I was playing this game and scared that the keyboard will break. ( this is not your typical fps/3rd person game)

ill be happy if someone plays this game as well.

    Thank you very much~ :)

Something hard to ans. I think everyone uses keyboard differently. Fading keys, think might be still a little early for me to input on this. Don't look like it will but god knows

Is it possible for it to get replaced if they do fade?

Thinking about it, the R2 keyboards are probably the same as the R1 keyboards. Now, most keyboards have the letters and numbers painted on, correct? Well, on these babies, the numbers and letters are the parts that are NOT painted. So there's a good chance no fading will occur.

As far as sturdiness, I think it's still a little early to tell. Most games nowadays, regardless whether they're Gunz or my standby, Unreal Tournament 2004, main the WASD keys. But hopefully they'll stand the test of time.

Agree with what azn said. If you have warranty. Can always get Dell to place the keyboard if it's breaks. Really dun see an issue here. More over to be honest everything will wear and tear. So its quote unfair to expect things to remain the way they are like you just receive it after one year of intense usage

Yes, as long as you pay for it.
And everything will be wore out no matter what the material is. So i guess the letter will be fade for sure.

Do u run GunZ in integrated or Dedicated? Im having trouble running it dedicated.

When i press a server... it keeps going : "connecting to server" then crashes

I want to play GunZ and output it to my bigger monitor. ( thats when im home)

I cannot play gunz on my gaming desktop because of high delay ( high fps), this causes me to have keyboard delay + in game delay. I cannot execute moves as i used to in the old days on my old computer. ( my old computer cannot run gunz no more...i have bad luck btw) Its like GOD does not want me to play GunZ so my ego cannot become to big and own every noob i see.

If you had something like this: Protect Computer Products - Protect Covers | Screen Protectors | Keyboard Covers | Laptop - Notebook Covers, then it'll help with preventing wear. I'm looking for something similar for my m11x. I'm trying to prevent the oil marks on my keys that come through natural use, since eventually I will sell this laptop and its easier to sell when in pristine condition.

If I find something I'll let you know.

Keyboard Cover Skin Protector Dell Alienware M11x
    hehe

oh and btw if u dont want the oil to touch the lcd you can use the thin piece of paper that came with the m11x ( when m11x was closed and it had the paper between the lcd and keyboarD) .

I'd just like to note I actually had to get my keyboard replaced because it's W key was making crackling noise whenever you pressed it, they told me with warrenty it's free but if your not covered 80$Cad also I don't spam keys alot at all in fact I press it lightly(even more lightly now because I'm scared of brakin em again) so it all depends on how you use the keyboard I should note if you do spam and press on it hard press the very utmost middle so that it doesn't tilt or etc that's what happened with mine. Just to note replacement for keyboards takes one week.

Thanks. It would be nice to get a custom fit keyboard cover, but I ended up buying a generic flat keyboard skin and cut it to fit. Works perfectly, albeit it doesn't look as nice. In saying that, it cost me all of US$1 from Malaysia. Also bought a screen protector, which I cut to fit. Cost me US$2.50.

The keyboard is a bit squidgy over the wasd area, especially the a key. Maybe I was just pressing too hard? Actually it's noticeably less sturdy than the right hand side and gives a little when you press a bit harder.
