I notice that there are a few vertical lines on the lower left hand side of the screen, then whenever i wipe it with a microfiber cloth they disappear and graphics looks perfect with no lines or whatsoever, then whenever i close the lid of the m11x then open it up again, the vertical lines are back and have to always rewipe to remove them.

Is this defect on the screen or the screen is having contact with the keyboard when the lid is close and gives the vertical line markings?

Yeah, if you search on here you should be able to find a thread about it. Your best bet is to put a decently sized micro fiber cloth in between the screen and keyboard. I keep mine more towards the left side because that's where most of the contact happens. Solved my issue.
