I had to go with red because I was purchasing it refurb'd off of E-bay, and I have to say I like it.
I with with the i7 and the 2GB video card. 8GB of RAM, and I'm feeling no pressure to go up to 16GB.
I've unboxed it, put Win7 Ultimate on it, and the latest nVidia drivers. I also copied over my Steam folder and reinstalled Steam, but I'm getting the "This game is not available" error.
I noticed there's now a "Use graphics card:" option when I right click on various executables, so I assume that's how I whitelist things. Is there another way?
Also, is there any kind of taskbar indicator that will show me when the nVidia card is active?
Is there a primer for "Things I Should Know About My New R3?"
I'm really excited to put this thing through its paces.

that works but the best way is to right click on your desktop and select nvidia control panel, then from there go to the left hand side and select manage 3d settings. then you can select applications and choose settings for them. which is great because a lot of games dont let you choose things like turning AA completely off. Which will give you some nice FPS in demanding games. Also make sure when gaming your power mode is set to high performance by right clicking on the battery icon then selecting more power options and toggle high performance mode.

Thanks! That's very helpful. Do I need to enable each Steam app separately?
