    Hi guys!

Just received my m11xr1 from outlet and it is fun! however one thing i noticed is that the mouse buttons are somewhat not that inviting to press. Specially when dragging stuff or group select items from desktop. I feel that I still have to exert extra effort to actually keep the button pressed and not drop the items I select or drag. Does anyone encounter the same thing?

No. However, I've already used a similar touchpad setup for several years, though (Dell M1210).

It's not supposed to be hard to hold down, is it... broken?

Does not look like it. When not pressed they are at level with the rest of the palm area. Its only when the you try to press it that you feel different. Maybe because I'm coming from a t61 laptop to these powerful little bugger. Thinkpad seems to have better mouse button and mouse pad after all...

Yes, the touchpad buttons definitely have to be depressed too far. A few reviews hit on this as well. You get somewhat used to it over time, but I ended up just learning to do click drag to move things around.

Try pressing near where the buttons meet, then try pressing at the outside edge. Is it easier towards where they meet? That is normal and inherent in the design. I really wish Dell didn't use these type of buttons because the actual part that registers the click is like where they meet towards the keyboard, and there isn't enough support throughout the button for it to register well anywhere else.
