By fast I mean is there some way to install the usb 3.0 drivers before installing windows? I want to do a fresh install and not waste time mucking around with cloning.... I read something about issues reading the pen drive for install? Any ideas on how to get around that? Would using a usb2.0 drive be any safer?
Issues with 64 bit vs 32? I am currently 64.

Use the usb 2 port on the other side of the computer for installing everything untill you have the usb 3 drivers installed.

I heard that alien respawn from hdd to ssd does not work. Can anyone verify how I would do a clean install and still have all my alien FN+ functions work? From usb as I dont have a disk drive.....
I am not cloning so please clean installs only.
Got a Intel 530 just because I heard they come with some feature that makes them easier to install/restore.
Downloaded all the drivers as per http://www.driversdownloader.com/dell-drivers/dell-laptops-alienware-m11x-r3
Now just need someone to hold my hand to figure out how to get my windows 7 onto my usb.

You can download a tool named "windows 7 usb download tool" it allows you to make a bootable usb with windows 7. You need to have the windows 7 in an iso to use this tool. I have used it several times and works great.

Everything worked out well. Respawn doesn't work well when you go from hdd to ssd.
Not too happy that theres still some lag when scrolling thru pdf scanned files :( Going to try to max out my ram next to see if that helps.
