    Hi everyone,

    1. )Just a quick question. Is this whole "modified .inf" because the m11x isn't added in the "string" for the drivers from Nvidia?

2.)Meaning, when future Nvidia drivers come out, do I have to do the modified .inf or can I just download+install?

3.) The latest 258.96 nvidia drivers are WHQL (NON-beta, final release), so is a modified .inf required because of this?

Hope that made sense. English is my 4th language sorry :p

The plan as I understood it, was that R2 owners wouldn't be reliant on drivers from Dell because the Verde Optimus drivers from Nvidia would work with the R2 natively. We're just waiting on Nvidia to make that happen. Not sure what the delay is really. WHQL process aside, I would have thought we'd be seeing them already.

Maybe I have it all wrong...

    1.) YES

2.) Not at least until Nvidia add in the missing string to support M11xR2, not sure why havent they done so or is Dell/AW behind this? Unknown until they come out and clarify. In short unless the next driver release Nvidia have added in those missing string else would have to continue to mod inf to support the installation.

3.) If you look at my post of the beta I have actually mentioned there you still need the modded inf for the WHQL release. In fact the WHQL release is completely identical to the beta release except its been WHQL signed by Microsoft. WHQL or not is not important as long as the driver works and not give issue. Some times WHQL drivers could be worst than beta.

Hopefully this is clear enuf for you
