How do I get the multimedia keys to work with winamp?
Normally with programs like wmplayer classic, I oftentimes have to have the window selected for the forward/back/play to work properly. The audio is global so thats not really an issue.
But with winamp (going back to it after using wmp for a while again) it never works, not even with the window selected. Optimally I could use the multimedia keys with winamp just as I can with wmp, ie. globally - even when the window is not selected.

Hey there,
I've been using winamp for a while now and even though I didn't experience your problem, I think I have the fix for you.
Go to >options>Preferences> and scroll down the list on the left till you see >Global Hotkeys> select it and there will be a check box for "Enable default multimedia key support", check that box if it's not already checked and your problem should be resolved.
If that doesn't work, you could try making your winamp window to stay on top always (press ctrl+A). If you go this route, just minimize the main window, close all other windows (like the Eq and library) and put the winamp @ the top of the screen or wherever it doesn't block your view.
Hope I helped. peace. -
Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it.
