I had a quick question that has been unresolved for a month now. I installed Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Black ops on my mx11, and the video does not show. The screen stays black but you can hear the voices in the background. Anyone got any suggestions? It would be greatly appreciated.

The first 2 things that come to mind are try alt+tabbing in and out of it, if alt+tabbing back in just shows the (non-responsive) desktop try clicking on the black ops icon on the task-bar.
The second thing would be to try alt+enter a couple of times and see if it switched between windowed and full screen.
Oh and making sure its whitelisted wouldn't hurt.
Let me know! -
Perhaps try different video drivers

Thanks for the response bro, but still nothing. I thought it was just modern warfare but it happened to black opaque as well. When I was hitting shift +tab the pointing arrow would come in and out. Then I realized u said alt + tab and still nothing. Any other suggestions?

To be honest its a little worrisome that BO and MW2 both do it. I know the engine is the same, but beyond that they are completely different games made by completely different developers, I dont even think Infinity Ward gave any of thier code to Activision. But all it probably means is that its the COD varient of the IW engine is not liking something about your system. If I get any ideas I will post them.

That is really weired, that is the only game that has problems for me. The only other game that has problems is battlefield bad company2 online, it kicks me out saying i have 2 directx or something to that effect.

Are you using the R2? Because if you are I think there is a problem with Optimus and the anti-aliasing settings for the game. I had a similar problem with my R2 and the way I fixed it was to go into the NVIDIA control panel and change the AA settings for the game after which you should be able to change the setting in-game yourself. If you're running the game through Steam then try to launch the game in safemode and changing the in-game settings that way.
