just wanted to share what I did in 5 mins to cooldown my laptop while gaming in a lan, of course I don't use this base to play on it as I plug my rig to external peripherials for best confort

I had a special molex alim that was sold with a ide to usb converter (for data retrieval), kinda convenient because it's a laptop charger form factor.

you don't get the satisfaction to build something by just buying it, but I see your point, this was only for fun and maximum cooling efficiency.
I might make an other one with more integrated stuff in it but I don't have the time right now...

very nice! thats hardly ghetto at all.

id make some fan grills and wire up a USB plug to the fan wires to give it 5v and you'd have your self a very lightweight/portable cooling pad.

    +1

didn't take the time to measure yet, will do as soon as I have the time to.
I highly recommend this fan, it's incredibly silent and does 94 CFM, which is quite good.
    Thanks for the comments ;)

Does it suck or blow onto the base of the laptop? (No double entendre intended :D)
