I have a M11x R1, with the graphics on discrete, not switchable

when I close the lid and wait for the system to shut off all the lights and sleep then open it up again the computer wakes up and all the lights come on but the screen doesn't. I have alienware fusion disabled, I have tried 2 video drivers, reset power plans to default values but nothing.

    any advice?

btw when i tell the computer to sleep manually then close the lid it comes back on with no problems at all when i press the power button to wake it up.

Maybe a dumb question, but are you making sure you don't have an external monitor selected. It's one of the Fn+F keys (not at my M11x so I don't know which at the moment). It's easy to do by mistake.

Mine does the same thing. The only solution I could find was to not shut off the intel card in the bios. Hopefully someone else knows more.

I'm getting the same issue, but it only started once I installed the new 270.61 drivers for my R2.
