    I tried the hdmi out from the m11x on my 32 inch sony tv(xbr 9, 1080p). 2 questions;

    1. There seems to be some sort of weird tearing/lag issue on my tv, but I dont see it on the m11x.

    2. The highest resolution for my Sony is 1366 x 768 (when I have dual monitors going), is that because that is that is the native rez for the m11x? Is there any way to change this?

    3. Is there anyway not to see the screen on the laptop while playing games on my tv, I find it a little distracting? I tried shutting it, but it ended the dual support for the tv lol.

    Thank you, sorry for the n00b questions, but everyone seems so helpful here :D

    Make sure the connection of the hdmi cable is securely plugged in! you just have to try and test difference display settings, also have a try pressing FN + F1 and see what happens...

    Try Windows+P to toggle through the different display options.

    The M11x as a maximum resolution way higher than a 1080p resolution, if for example you have a 30" computer monitor. Think it's around 25nn x 1600 or something, where n is a number.

    You can check the Nvidia GT 335M web page as it has the maximum digital screen size available. The VGA (M11xR1) is slightly lower, but can still display 1080p.

    Oh man, you both are awesome. When I switched to the Sony tv, the screen rez bumped up to 1920x1080. Thank you! got just the HDMI on now, laptop screen is off lol

    I was choosing between that Asus 23inch and the samsung 27inch Amazon.com: Samsung P2770FH 27-Inch Full HD LCD Monitor (Rose Black): Computer & Accessories
    i bought the samsung at costco for only 279 soo just add 100 bucks more from the asus and you get a 27inch 1ms response monitor. I'm really satisfied with my Samsung if it was 399 like in amazon i wouldn't even think of buying it. ;)
