Seems normal, i had those temps on my R2 both before and after i had the entire system board replaced. R3 seems a tad cooler, but it's to be expected with sandy bridge.

Intel does not use 100% accurate temperature sensors. A range of +/- 5C is typical for their good sensors. If one sensor on one CPU reports 5C less than the actual temperature and a sensor on the new one reports 5C too high then that can explain a 10C difference. If you are sure that something is wrong, disassemble your laptop and redo the thermal paste and see if that makes any difference.

Totally agree with unclewebb - had a laptop returned for failing to charge a few years back to the manufacturer, and when it came back I opened it up and found huge blobs of pink goo leaking everywhere. Cleaned all of it off and replaced with Arctic Silver for a 10C drop in temps.
