Hi folks,
Any advice if its ok to leave the overclocking option enabled in the long run? Been a proud owner of m11x-r1 for 2mths, OCed since day1, no problems till now.
I cant still draw a conclusion on whether the BSOD that is happening to some is due to processor overheating or lack of vcore. My concern is that either one of this reason would actually kill off my set eventually.
Given the release of M11x-r2, i am guessing Dell would be shafting out the existing r1 owners.
Granted that i would like to squeeze that extra performance out of my 7300 chipset, i cant help but to think that its a ticking timebomb waiting to detonate into BSOD.![]()

Increased heat and voltage from OCing is what kills the CPU.. in the M11x neither are increased so there is no drawback to leaving the unit OC'd.

looks like i'll be leaving it on
