I installed a Crucial M225 128Gb ssd that I have been using as a boot drive for my desktop but when drive is installed I can not even access the bios, I just get a blank screen. The drive seems fine can see and can use it in an external USB case. Seems strange I can not even access bios, any help or insight would greatly be appreciated.

Edit. Is this what happens when bios or motherboard is not compatible with drive?

Does the computer even turn on or do anything? Check to maybe see if you didn't install it correctly.

Unplug the SSD, get some compressed air and spray it at both the connector of the SSD and where you plug it into the laptop.

    Maybe that'll help :)

thanks for quick reply tk. I can tell screen turns on but is just black. The keyboard lights up but if I hit F2 more that twice it just beeps at me. I put the Seagate that came with the machine back in and it boots right up. I even turned it on with no hard drive just to make sure I could get into the bios ... which I could. The drive works fine off USB, I even freshly formatted it. I was trying to find a way to turn off Alienware splash screen (even that doesn't pop up with ssd in) just to see if anything happens.
