    Hi,

I'm trying to hook up my M11x laptop to my new flat screen tv so that i can view jpeg images (do a slideshow) on my tv, see my desktop from my laptop on my tv, etc . but when i plug the HDMI cable in to the tv from the laptop, I get this message:

"No signal: Connect device's power, cable connection, & source selection"

What is it wanting me to do? my HDMI cable is already connected into my laptop's HDMI port..so I don't understand what it's needing me to do exactly..

I've already messed around with the projector settings but anytime I choose something in there (such as extend display for example) it only does it for the computer's screen, not the tv.

My M11x's driver name in the display adapters section is this: Mobile Intel (R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
The name of the driver: NVIDIA
    Driver version: 8.16.11.8855

Much appreciated any help on this, thx,

Did you already go into Improved Performance mode? (FN+F6... I think)

I assume you have an M11x R1. You need to be using the nVIDIA graphics card to use the HDMI port.

Try a different cable, might be a bad cable. Had that one time, fresh cable from the shop turned out to be bad.

    Or

Its a setting in the TV itself, had that on my own tv.
