    Hi,
I'm planning to buy a notebook cooler for my m11x. I'm looking for one, which is portable so a lightweight one and want to use on my lap. By what I read from the related threads, I believe that Coolermaster Notepal U1 will be a good choice. However, I've some concerns about how it fits to m11x and build quality, as its dimensions seem to be smaller than m11x. In this manner, will u2 be a better choice than u1 in terms of fitting to m11x?
I will be glad if someone, who owns notepal u1, can attach its pictures with m11x and comment on how it fits to m11x and its performance. Also if there are any other suggestions I will be glad to hear them.
    Thanks...

hey, I used the Zalman 1500. Fantastic build quality, has 3 fans, it is quiet and fairly cheap at $20. However it's made to fit 13" and up so it sticks out around the sides under my m11x. If you dont mind losing a fan though the Zalman 1000 should fit perfect.

thanks for suggestion, my concern with the zalman nc series is(1000-1500), despite their high build quality, from the images of zalman that I've seen, fan of m11x doesn't seem to align with the vents of zalman.
I mean the fan of m11x is at the top right corner in the back, but in the images of zalman nc1000 and nc1500, the vents do not seem to go up-to that area. Besides, they do not look to be portable due to their weights.

I've just taken the plunge on the Notepal, should turn up next couple of days so if I remember I'll post my thoughts on it.

I got the Notepal u1, and I was wondering whether I should take the rubber off. Shouldn't the cooling be more effective if the laptop makes contact with the metal base (more heat dissipation)?

Only a small part of your M11x makes contact with the rubber. The rubber is there to create some space between your laptop and the cooling pad to allow for better airflow.

Also, regarding the Zalman 1500, I have never used this product but whether or not the fans line up shouldn't really matter. The cooling pad's fan simply blowing more air at the intake fan is not going to make it take in air any faster.
