well I think I should be happy with my order. I decided to just buy the stock HD, and will upgrade shortly to a SSD, probably stick with an intel 160GB as I will probably only have 2-3 games in this at any given time (I use my desktop for intense gaming)
Soft touch black
i7 640um
4 GB RAM
Bluetooth
those were the only upgrades I got, total was $952.10 plus $59.51 tax! hopefully I will get Discover to give me 5% cash back on top of that too (couldn't link to dell.com from discover though because I purchased this through EPP).
Now to order my U2711 through Small Business and get 30% off that and 20% off an alienware MX11 case ($24 isn't too bad). deciding to wait on the anti-glare screen until I actually see the laptop, $24 after discount is still a lot for some film!

That's a good deal in Canada the same system costs $1319.00 plus taxes, also the sales team won't give any discounts.

For $300 difference, if you can get DPP in the US, you could just cross the border and order one. The problem is when you leaving th US and going back to Canada, TSA could see that you have M11xR2 and think that it's suspicious enough and decide to hold your laptop a few months.
ordered, under $1000 with i7
