I've got a problem: my little machine no longer recognise the SD card, neither the 1394 devices. Tried reinstall the drivers from Dell and from JMicron, also tried a clean install and a factory recover (I've the recovery partition intact). But nothing solves the problem. Any suggestions will be grateful.

    My proc: R1 su 7300 overclocked, 4G, 500 HD 7200RPM, win 7 pro.

Did you try checking whether the 1394 port and the SD card reader are enabled in BIOS?

I've got the same problem. Tried the drivers from Jmicron website as well but no luck! Can't access them.

    Anybody have any ideas?

@ultimablade: yes, they are enabled in the bios. More, there is no any "!" in the peripheric devices.

btw, there isn't any option in the bios to activate/deactivate the SD card, only the firewire.

Just for grins, re-flash your BIOS. If that doesn't work then time to call support.

I had a similar problem with my firewire but mine was not hardware related as my firewire worked in ubuntu. I havent figured it out yet. Let us know if you have any success.
