so i will buy this great laptop in the next month, i know about the pros, the conts and all the problems than MAYBE can have like the hinges, software or hardware problems but that is on every product you buy, it can comes faulty or not is about your luck jeje, any way anything is better than this old xps m1330 xD, so the question is which R is better for Rts Games (like starcraft II) r1 whit cd2 su7300 or r2 whit i5 (i can't buy i7), i am not a harcore gamer, i don't care about graphics, i just want than the game runs fine whit out too many lag hehe thanks for your attention

Also, if you have to get the i5, or i7 the duo won't live up to your rts expectations. The reason why the m11x r1 is generally good is because most fps games require gpu then cpu, but in RTS gpu isn't all that necessary it needs cpu for all the sprites you see, and it has to calculate bullet whizzing by and tell the simply tell the gpu to show it, but in large fights the cpu has to write all the dead bodies dropping bullets body parts falling, calculations etc etc. Way too much for duo to handle atleast with i7 you've got 4 different threads working on each section of the game. -

Jan/Feb pure hearsay. If it does come then as you have already said it will have initial problems , poor driver support etc etc. Goes hand in hand with a new system.
IMO if you have the "I may wait to see what comes next" attitude you will always be waiting and never come off the fence.
Tech changes so fast there will always be something. New,faster etc on the horizon.
StarCraft 2 plays well on the i7 see the thread on it or check utube. If your after 60fps ultra high then you are looking at the wrong laptop. I suggest going for M15/17 or Asus G series etc. -

I know what your saying but....There is no firm date yet and as you said previously Jan or Feb is based purley on statistics. So its min 4 months could be a possible 6 months or even more.
I dont believe they will put anything other than low volt chips in still so they keep good battery life and heat down so no major change there. The GPU should get a 4 series boost (or ATI!) but as discussed in previous threads to keep batt life/performance ratio then it would be maybe gt425m. May not be a huge jump in performance, still 128 bit,gddr3 again but DX11 support. Although not a huge number of games yet taking DX11 to another level. Are there any benches out yet for 425/435??
Lots of unknowns so far with the 4 series GPU's Heat etc.
Optimus will still be there so the support from R2 onwards should be fine. I would maybe worry a little about support if I was already an R1 owner or thinking of buying an R1 as and when an R3 does come.
If you are not desperate to purchase yet then play the waiting game for sure but the i7 and 335gt is a fairly potent combo in current form factor. And plays most things you throw at it, albeit not always at maxed out settings. -

Then one thing to wait for then is a good voucher to come up. I'm in the UK but waited for Dell to offer a good deal then used a 10% voucher(dell). I also used a cashback site we have called quidco which paid another 10%. Although for some reason it ended up paying 20% so that was a result
.
$1200 is approx £750 which is good for the i7, for UK anyway!. Its about what I paid after all discounts applied, well apart from the £117 compensation but thats a different story! -
the keyboard on m11x is really fun to macro in SC2 since the keyboard is really easy to reach from #1-9.

John, for 1200 bux plus there are a LOT of better gaming machines out there than the M11x. The next *big* thing is the death of *bios* and consequently, the rise of its much quicker and more flexible replacement. It's *possible* that we'll see the first wave around the end of the year. If you're wondering, boot will be much faster, and reportedly, existing equipment *may* operate quicker and more efficiently. As for the dual core M11x, the differences I've seen posted run a bit over 10 percent from the 7300 to the i7. With coupons that come and go, it has recently been possible to get a 7300 for around 600.00. It's a pretty big jump from there to the 1200 ish i7 for a ten percent increase.....
I have the 7300. At 630ish (which is what i paid) its a helluva puter. At 1200? not so much..
Take a gander at the thin and light MSI GX640 and the prices THAT is available 4.
If you want to game, and have 1200ish laying around, get a gaming machine. If you need a highly portable, highly flexible, almost gaming machine that is one hell of a lot better than any other 11" box out there, get a M11x. I love the hell out of mine (at 630

Not to be rude, but you're talking about the difference of a couple hundred dollars between the i5 and i7, at most.
Save up and get the i7.
You get what you pay for. I don't see how you could possibly be considering the m11x in the first place, which is relatively expensive given it's size, and be incapable of saving the extra $$$ for the better and noticeably faster processor?
Take a month or two, think it over, and sock $25 away each week. BOOM! there's your i7. -
I thought he was talking about the 7300.
