My Razer Krait has finally given up the ghost, micro switch dead on the right click and the wheel scroll feels like it's stuck in toffee :(

Which gaming mouse do you guys use or recommend? I've been looking at the Logitech G9x but it's not the prettiest looking thing. The Roccat has cool light modes to match AlienFX but it's not up there with the best, I just don't know?! :D

Can change colour to match your laptop and is based on a logitech g9x

I am now using a razer naga because I need more buttons!

Wow the Razer Naga has a keyboard on the side :) Might get one of these as I really want it for SWTOR, £52 on Amazon.

Thats were I got mine from.

Its awesome, takes a while to get used to the 12 buttons but you can either have them as 1 through to = or create macros for them. I have set a few macros which is really easy. I have a windows profile which uses the buttons for general shortcuts and the 9-12 for launching my favourite games and autoswitching to that profile

I am still using the Logitech MX Revolution, although it is starting to give up the ghost (left single click becomes double-click more often than not). Has 11 buttons and decent sensitivity. It is an oldie, I know, but you get it for a fraction of the price of a new one on the Bay (if a deal is what you are looking for :)..

Got a rat9 and ikari laser, both are fantastic.
rat9 is a bit heavy so if you "claw" the mouse like me, you will have to get used to the inertia of the mouse, but the looks, precision and customizable ergonomy is really enjoyable, 4 precision settings + additionnal special button for fine aim on the fly. sometimes doesn't like certain types of surfaces.
Ikari laser is a simple mouse with excellent precision and ergonomy for right-handed users, mapping of the buttons is saved in the mouse, weight is light whitch I like and 2 switchable precision settings. worked on all surfaces as far as I tested.

Alienware tactx mouse actually looks really good! Kind of a logitech G9x re-branded. Why did you get rid of it?

I havent yet. Only just bought the naga so haven't put it up on the bay yet.

Its a fantastic mouse, especially for fps but I mostly play sc2 or mmo's and needed more side buttons.

The tactx has some great features such as dedicated dpi buttons, scroll wheel that can switch from click to inertia scrolling, integrates with the command centre to allow colour adjustments etc

Razer imperator is the best mouse , so far , i've ever had.

And , god , i use to have AT LEAST 20 gamers models @home.

There's a new version with a " 4G " sensor , i didn't try it so i can't tell you , but the feeling of this mouse is the best i've ever get. So , so , soooo confortable.

But i think you should go to a shop and try them , we all have different hands i know that when i found that a mouse is perfect , my GF really dislike them cause her hand is way smaller.

Just try yourself , it's the best way to see if a mouse is ok for you ;)

The only thing i can't tell you is about the TactX mouse i've never had in hands , so i can't tell you if it's great as other said or not !

I've got a Razer DeathAdder and it's a tough little mouse. I've never had a problem with it... ever...

I do have my eyes on a Razer Orochi though.

The Tactx mouse is pretty good. You can change the dpi on the go and set up different profiles, so by holding the bottom button and changing the dpi, you can get a completely different macro set up. It's what I use and I love the ability to change my dpi and macros just by clicking it. I definitely recommend it, still works perfect after a year and a half.

Anything by logitech, really. Their mice are solid, built like tanks, incredibly comfortable and just work straight out of the box.

They don't look as exciting as some of the other more gaming focused brands but they just work. I had some terrible trouble with Razer (3 Deathadders in 2 months) and by comparison logitech's gizmos are brilliant. I've had the MX518 and am currently gunning with it's newer (but still slightly old by today's standards) sibling the G5 which has lasted years.

Might try Mionix next, they have some really awesome looking products and are starting to make a name for themselves. Roccat also look quite cool but I've a strong suspicion that they are all flash and no substance like Razer, ho-hum.

Same here , two deathadders in 4 months.

That mouse was really cool , but that's why i switched to Imperator.

You have to know that Razer products are cool , but far from durable ( i said it all the time , but i have return more than 15 Razer products in two years ... )

I don't understand all these bad experiences with Razer. I own a Lycosa, DeathAdder, Diamondback 3G, Carachias, Onza TE and Ferox gaming speakers and they've worked consistently from day 1. Never a problem, never a failure after daily use.

I buy Razer whenever I can because their gear looks sexy as hell and it has never let me down. Don't buy from their site though... get it through Amazon, you'll save a fortune.

Yeah I like razer, I use the copperhead and exact mat at work but I don't always find it that responsive, in fact it jumps around all over the place at low low speeds when drawing lasso's in Photoshop.

You know , i'm the kind of guy who takes REALLY care of it's product , nobody else can touch my gear.

    Razer stuff :
    - my first Copperhead died after 2 years , rip
    - 2 Deathadders that add the " double click problem " . No it was not a software issue , tried all drivers version on like 4 different computers.
    - Got an orochi , won't charge after 2 days of use ...
    - Replaced a lycosa for having key issues ( some keys register 1 time / two )
    - replaced my N52TE , spacebar wasn't working ( Belkin , but made with razer ... now i have the Razer version , Nostromo , works great )
    - Currently trying to get my Razer Onza replaced , the left stick goes up all the time , and D-pad stay " stuck " when you press it.
    - Razer Goliathus still works , but wasn't in a good shape : starting to have little balls on it , like an old shirt you know , making the mouse jump when roll over it.

And i got so many problems that's only the ones that i remember ...

Why do i always buy Razer products ? Cause they are confortable , and looks great. But i must warn you that i replaced nearly one product when i buy two ...

I own both and I would highly recommend the DeathAdder. The Orochi is a nice, portable mouse, but I would stick to the DeathAdder for everyday use.
