    tf2 full screen black screen problem

    when i play team fortress 2 in windowed mode it works fine but when i run it in full screen it shows the valve opening video and then goes to a black screen with just the mouse showing. can anyone help? im using an m11x r2

    my guess if u are using 260.89 drivers. then it's cause by the 4xAA bug. Either disable the AA or turn down your res to 1360x768 with 4xAA it will work again. If you are using 260.89 please discuss and share the issue you encounter there rather than opening a new thread. Since most things are answered there if there a known fix to it.

    thanks for the help man :) i was just too lazy to search and i hate reading through those massive threads

    EDIT: i just tried turning down the AA and it didnt fix it, any other ideas?

    If you'd really like to try to diagnose it, set everything to the lowest setting, and take them all up one at a time to see what's causing it.

    Also, you could just try different drivers.

    Verify your tf2 files and change your launch options to -novid or something like that.

    alright guys i worked it out :) i updated from the 260 beta drivers to the 260.99's, put windowed mode on and turned the aa off then back on. So far its working well :D
