I bought the logitech F710 for my M11x R2 and the thing works amazingly well. The dongle receiver thing is small and it is awesome to grab my m11x chill on my couch and be able to sit back and play games.. its like a portable ps3! I have played need for speed hp and prototype with it so far.
I couldnt recommend it enough.
some pics of it:

sweet controller looking controller! Are the buttons smooth and 100% responsive?
-
hey are these controllers usually compatible with all games?
-
I have the wireless 360 controller for mine. It works great just like xbox
-
yes, this one has a D mode and an X mode, supposedly it is compatible with every single game. I also have an xbox360 but the wire really kills it.. and even the "wireless" one has a massive receiver with a wire on it!
-
Yeah the plugin is huge. I almost got the Logitech
-
I likey!! where did you get it?
-
LOVE IT!!!
Has anyone found a better option for the 360 wireless controller, I hate the huge receiver it comes with, if they did something similar to this it would be perfect -
Oh that's neat. I use a wired 360 controller myself.
-
newegg, definitely worth it. today I played some new games from steam (that sale is ruining my wallet) and the gamepad was great. -
yes, I used the xbox one for a long time but the wire kills it big time, specially that one because is 2 miles long.
-
How did you guys get the 360 controller to work? Mine said it was setup and I also downloaded the 360 accessory software from the MS website but Windows doesn't seem to be detecting it as a game controller. When I press the middle Xbox button the green ring just flashes all 4 lights forever.
Kind of odd that every peripheral has worked flawlessly through Win 7 automatic setup except the one Microsoft peripheral I tried to use... -
You have the PC version of the 360 controller right?
You can not just use the one from the xbox as far as what I have read (although I understand the PC version does work on the xbox as well).
-
Just figured out the problem -- the only ones that don't work are the wireless ones w/play & charge kit, the rumors of people getting those to work are just BS
Apparently any regular wired 360 controller will work with the drivers for the "PC" version, but to get a wireless one to work you need the wireless adapter thingy. Not sure I wanna get that since it draws a massive amount of power, so I guess I'll be trading one of my wireless controllers for a wired one
-
This is correct.
The play-and-charge kit is basically a USB cable that connects your XBox360 controller to a USB port. This cable is for charging only. The pins that carry data have been disabled on this cable.
The only way to get an XBox360 controller to work on a Windows PC is to either use a wired controller, or buy a wireless receiver for the Xbox360 controller that connects to your PC. -
Why are the i3/i5/i7 stickers at the bottom of the machine? Arent they suppose to be on top?
-
Because having stickers all over your laptop in highly visible places would be ugly.
I paid for Alienware, so I want my machine to look like an Alienware. Not a car bumper. -
lol true, i just thought the I7 sticker would look like a show off if it were on top and visible =P
the best $40 bucks I spend on my M11xR2
