currently i'm using an old ASUS G1Sn (15.4''/16:10) that's still able to knock out Mass Effect 2 on medium settings. can't wait to see what a new machine is capable of.
but. something that has been nagging at me since i decided i was probably going to go with the m11x was the shift to a significantly smaller screen size. this will be my primary laptop i will be doing all my gaming on it. is there anyone out there who made a similar shift and can you tell me what your experience has been? is mass effect 2 (for example) comfortable to play on an 11.6'' screen? i wish i could get my hands on an m11x and play around with it for a little bit to see how i like it...

i have a nice gaming desktop with a 23" screen (1920x1080)that has been out of commission for about 1.5mths now and have been using mt M11x as my main PC.
in gaming i dont notice a difference in screen size once i get past the title screen.
i DO notice a difference when im doing normal windows stuff. not having the extra space for all my open windows layered on top of each other takes some getting used to. but in no way makes the experience bad. in fact if it was that bad id just hook up to my 23", but i haven't yet so i guess that speaks for its self. -
I have a M17x r2, my wife has a m11x r2, there is a difference in the resolution that you will notice. But when playing games i can't really tell the diffrence all that much from the screen size. I liked my wifes so much that since, we will traveling a bit this summer, I bought a m11x R3 for my self yesterday.

OP I played Mass Effect 2 from start to finish on my M11x R1 with no problems whatsoever. I think certain game genres work fine on a smaller screen and some not so well. For example, I like racing sims and would find it restricting to play on an 11" display with my wheel/pedals and trackIR hooked up. I would image the same applies to flight sims. Games that I have enjoyed on the M11x include Singularity (FPS), Portal, Half-life 2, Braid and Defense Grid: The Awakening. I should add my M11x gaming all takes place while on holiday and away from my desktop!
thinking of making the jump to the m11X (r3)
