Another vote for Microsoft Security Essentials. Use it on all of my computers.

Nod 32, works well doesn't really pop up all the time. Don't chew too much on ram or cpu either.

Used to have AVG free anti-virus thing, used to work real well before, now its just all pop ups and adverts... won't even let me play games in peace.

Never tried the microsoft essentials though. might be better, but i like NOD32

    Microsoft Security Essentials + Malwarebytes

    It's all you need.

I'm going to say Microsoft Security Essentials as well. It works well and I've never had a problem with it, plus it hides in the system tray and is very unobtrusive.

I've been using Avast a lot, but switched to Microsoft Security Essentials recently on my PC, working very nicely, least invasive AV i've used!
